Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is a British-American musician and sitarist. She is the youngest female and the first to receive the British House of Commons shield. Anoushka is the emerging star of Indian sitar. She is the daughter and student of Ravi Shankar. She was a child who bounded back and forth from London to New Delhi. When she arrived in New Delhi, she made her debut when she was only thirteen years old. Later, in Encinitas CA she attended high school, graduating with distinction in the year 1999. Anouskha still has a promising music and acting career, even though she's only a teenager. She frequently joins her father on stage, which she has been doing for several years. In 1998 she released her debut single album Anourag. The following year, she released the Grammy nominated Live on stage at Carnegie Hall. She has performed at most major venues around the globe.
